Topics Include:
Mozilla Hubs and Virtual Reality
In these times, with social isolation being a new reality for many of us, Zoom and its ilk may seem like the way to meet with other humans, face to face, as it were, but it's not the only way. In fact, video-conferencing is, if you'll pardon the expression, 'so last century". Virtual reality is where it's at, so get ready to enter the OASIS. VR even has an open source champion with Mozilla and Mozilla Hubs. Marcel will talk virtual worlds, teaching and presenting in a virtual environment, how to create, access, and work in virtual reality in a way that works even if you don't have a Virtual Reality headset, like an Oculus Quest or HTC Vive. We'll cover world editors, avatar creation, sharing your desktop in VR, and all sorts of other virtual goodies. So, on the evening of May 12th, polish up those avatars and let's get virtual.
