June 9th 2020 - MUG Meeting
We meet at 6:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
Our meeting is online. https://jitsi.decafbad.net/mugmeeting
Topics Include:
SNMP 2020
The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a subject of scorn, trepidation, and even rage. But somehow, it's still around. What is SNMP? How does it work? When should you use it, when do you need it, and when should you flee from those who speak its name? Michael W Lucas will take us through SNMP's history, where it is today, and perhaps even give a glimpse of what it might be tomorrow. Based on Lucas' second-to-newest book, "SNMP Mastery."
Time permitting, after the SNMP talk he'll informally discuss his new book, "Cash Flow for Creators."
Michael W. Lucas (MWL) is the author of over thirty books and has been using Unix since the late 1980s. Some of his popular titles include "Absolute FreeBSD 3rd ed.", "SSH Mastery, 2nd ed," "FreeBSD Mastery: ZFS," and the novel "git commit murder." MWL's writing may be found over at https://www.mwl.io
Plus we'll have our regular features: Jobs Looking for People, People Looking for Jobs, and much more!
