Creating New Meeting Announcements

To create a page announcing a new meeting, you'll need to do the following:

  1. Edit the PreviousMeetings page. This page is a list of all meetings we've had.

  2. Add a new link to the top of the list. Follow the current naming convention of 'Meeting-CCYYMMDD', surround it in [[ and ]], and put a <br> at the end of the line.

  3. Save the page.

  4. Now, the PreviousMeetings page should show your new link with a small question mark at the end. Click on that question mark, and it will create a new blank page for you.

  5. We have a skeleton that you can then copy into your new blank page, and then fill in the blanks. Open another browser window, and go to http://www.mug.org/twiki/bin/view/Mugwiki/Meeting-Skeleton?raw=on

  6. Select the text in that page, and paste it into your new Meeting page. Then, fill in the information about the new meeting.

  7. Once you are satisfied with the layout of the new page, you then need to edit the main http://www.mug.org/twiki/bin/view/Mugwiki/WebHome MUG page, and change the %INCLUDE{ }% to include your new meeting page. If you aren't able to edit that page, contact me (jam@ltsp.org), and I'll either add edit the page myself, or add you to the TWikiAdminGroup.
