sed - a powerful friend on the command line

Jim McQuillan will cover the *nix command of the month.

Ubuntu Studio

Is an officially recognized derivative of the Ubuntu operating system, which is explicitly geared to general multimedia production. Tony Bemus is our speaker. He's been using Linux for about 7 years. Tony works in the IT field and supports Linux whenever he gets a chance.

Using Ubuntu Studio as his desktop computer, He'll give us an overview of Ubuntu Studio with the history and the purpose. He'll also share his experiences with Ubuntu Studio and his suggestions if you are interested in using it. He'll also give us a demonstration of the desktop look and how to setup standard Ubuntu to look and work like Studio by installing the extra studio packages.
