Main Topic: FreeBSDOur presenter is: Matthew Hagerty Matthew Hagerty has been programming computers since 1983, starting with BASIC, then moving to Assembly and C. In 1996 he started an Internet Service Provider where he began learning Unix system administration and running Internet services such as web and email servers. In 1997 he began using PHP and relational databases to build database-driven dynamic web applications for businesses. Since 2006 Matthew has been employed by EDS (recently purchased by HP) working in a C / Unix (Solaris) / Oracle environment writing programs to support State Medicaid implementations. Aside from writing code, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, tinkering with electronics and microcontrollers, reading, teaching, and is a hovercraft enthusiast.
