Creating New Meeting Announcements
To create a page announcing a new meeting, you'll need to do the following:
- Edit the PreviousMeetings page. This page is a list of all meetings we've had.
- Add a new link to the top of the list. Follow the current naming convention of 'Meeting-CCYYMMDD', surround it in [[ and ]], and put a <br> at the end of the line.
- Save the page.
- Now, the PreviousMeetings page should show your new link with a small question mark at the end. Click on that question mark, and it will create a
new blank page for you.
- We have a skeleton that you can then copy into your new blank page, and then fill in the blanks. Open another browser window, and go to http://www.mug.org/twiki/bin/view/Mugwiki/Meeting-Skeleton?raw=on
- Select the text in that page, and paste it into your new Meeting page. Then, fill in the information about the new meeting.
- Once you are satisfied with the layout of the new page, you then need to edit the main http://www.mug.org/twiki/bin/view/Mugwiki/WebHome MUG page, and change the %INCLUDE{ }% to include your new meeting page. If you aren't able to edit that page, contact me (jam@ltsp.org), and I'll either add edit the page myself, or add you to the TWikiAdminGroup.
- Look for the WebLeftBar page and update it to link to your new page accordingly
