Main Topic: LMMS - Linux Multi-Media StudioWhile prepping for a talk about what he used to create music under Linux, Craig fired up a program that he hadn't used in years. What he saw blew his little mind, and now he's on a rampage to share his findings. That program is LMMS, and it will hopefully blow your mind in this presentation. LMMS is a free cross-platform alternative to commercial programs like FL StudioŽ, which allow you to produce music with your computer. This includes the creation of melodies and beats, the synthesis and mixing of sounds, and arranging of samples. You can have fun with your MIDI-keyboard and much more; all in a user-friendly and modern interface. MUG member Craig Maloney will be giving us a thoroughly entertaining and informative presentation on the LMMS project.Secondary Topic: BerkeleyTIPGibson Nichols, aka: Gib mentioned Berkeley TIP last month, what is it and why do I care?
