With all the recent DevOps tools and system orchestration tools available to sysadmins, you'd think Shawn's favorite tool would be Ansible or Puppet. But in fact, nothing is as flexible and almost magical as good old SSH. From tunnels to key authentication, Shawn will demonstrate some of the amazing things SSH can do, along with discussing some best practices along the way.

Shawn Powers has been a Linux sysadmin for several decades, but is best known for his time as a contributing editor at Linux Journal. Most of his DayJobs have revolved around education, working as a Tech Director for a K12 school, Database Manager at a Cornerstone University, and as a trainer for CBT Nuggets. At the end of the day, however, he's just an old Linux nerd who manages servers in the nerdiest way possible.

Plus we'll have our regular features: Jobs Looking for People, People Looking for Jobs, and much more!
