Radio Show Production with Audacity
Scott Best and Scott Balneaves will show off how to use GNU/Linux and Audacity to produce radio content! Scott Best is a long-time broadcaster for CJNU, a community radio station in Winnipeg, and hosts "Scott's Sunday Best", which sometimes broadcasts live, and is sometimes pre-recorded. When it is pre-recorded, Scott Balneaves, the operator of the duo, uses Audacity to put the show together. Topics covered will be importing audio, time shifting, applying filters, gain discipline, and exporting and tagging. We will be producing some show segments which will be broadcast the next Sunday, so join us to see how audio engineering is done at an all-volunteer radio station.
Scott Best works in Communications for the Manitoba government, and has been a broadcaster on CJNU for over 15 years.
Scott Balneaves is a systems administrator for the Manitoba government and has been part of several Free Software projects, including LTSP and Mate Desktop.
Plus we'll have our regular features: Jobs Looking for People, People Looking for Jobs, and much more!
